Kicker Joe Nedney injured himself against the Eagles last Sunday suffering a strained left hamstring and is uncertain for the game against the Lions. Punter Andy Lee can handle the kick-off duties but as far as field goals the Niners may have to sign a free agent kicker. For a team looking to win out its last two games to finish at .500 losing one of our scoring assets in your field goal kicker makes the challenge harder against two mediocre teams.
Jed Joke Speaks Again:
I recently read the following article from Matier and Ross at the San Francisco Chronicle which had the following quote: The Oakland Coliseum, Niners President Jed York said in an interview Friday, “has the location and the infrastructure. It’s right on a freeway, and it has BART access.”
I understand the Bayview site has some transportation infrastructure issues but Jed Joke seems uninterested in trying to find a solution with the site to keep the 49ers in San Francisco. This proves what has been speculated all along that the Joke Family don’t care about keeping the 49ers in San Francisco. If you are for a stadium at any cost which means the Niners leaving San Francisco or sharing a new stadium with the Raiders in Oakland fine, the rest of the true 49er Faithful will fight to the end to keep the 49ers in San Francisco.
