George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey took to social media to share their Halloween costumes, and it's a close race for who's best.

The San Francisco 49ers getting a Week 9 bye is a blessing in more than one way.

Not only do the Niners get a halfway-point break to rest, recover and mentally recharge, but they also get to enjoy the Halloween holiday on Thursday, Oct. 31 without having to worry about practice or preparation for a Week 9 game the following weekend.

Across the NFL, few players will equal what Cleveland Browns star edge rusher Myles Garrett pulled off for his costume, going as The Terminator.

But a few San Francisco stars already showcased their own creativity.

Now, the question this Halloween will be, "Who wore it best?"

Off the field, All-Pro tight end George Kittle is known for his eccentric personality, which dips into pro wrestling and hilarious TV commercials.

All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey might have his own hilarious TV commercial, but he doesn't quite have the cult personality Kittle has.

Neither shied away from sharing their own unique Halloween costumes, though.

As for Kittle, he and his wife, Claire, opted to go with Star Wars series stars, the Mandalorian and Princess Leia, which is pretty epic for the epic saga:

Kittle has a future in cosplay, if he isn't actively participating in it already.

McCaffrey, meanwhile, went a little further back in media entertainment, opting to portray a favorite character from the classic movie, The Wizard of Oz.

The reigning Offensive Player of the Year ended up being the tin man, while his wife, Olivia Culpo, went as Dorothy:

Don't forget Toto.

OK, so it might be a tossup determining which 49ers player "wore it better" this Halloween.

If you're a Star Wars fan, you'd probably say Kittle. If you enjoy classic movies (or are more of a Star Trek) fan, McCaffrey might be your preference.
