49ers wide receivers:Trent Taylor, Jalen Hurd returning from injury

Both wide receivers Trent Taylor and Jalen Hurd are returning from season-long injuries suffered during the preseason a year ago.

Hurd is returning from a serious back injury, which actually prevented him from accompanying the team to Miami for Super Bowl LIV. While he has since been able to resume football workouts and has been cleared to practice, it’s important to note he has still yet to take a regular-season snap at the NFL level.

Taylor, meanwhile, was having a great camp before he got hurt with a foot fracture, followed by multiple surgeries. So hopefully, he is able to perform at that level once again, particularly as a third-down threat for Jimmy Garoppolo.

Of course, it is always hard to say how players come back from injury, but the team is going to hope for the best in this case.
