49ers wide receivers: Kendrick Bourne a red-zone target

Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne was an undrafted free agent following the 2017 draft class.

Bourne has certainly started to grow into his own over the last two years. At 6-foot-1, Bourne is one of the bigger receivers on the team made up of many short-statured wideouts. His size and relatively reliable hands have made him a promising end-zone target for Jimmy Garoppolo to find.

While Bourne only managed 358 receiving yards on 30 receptions last year, all five of his touchdown passes — tied with tight end George Kittle for most on the team in 2019 — were all within the red zone.

No wonder San Francisco placed a restricted free-agent tender on Bourne during the offseason.
