Ranking the 49ers 5 most impressive players from 2020 playoffs

The San Francisco 49ers fell short of the ultimate goal of a sixth Lombardi Trophy, but the playoffs were still a fantastic opportunity for several players to show out. Niner Noise takes a look at the best of the best from the playoff run.

Given the way the season ended for the San Francisco 49ers, it would be easy to dive deeply into the doldrums of a Super Bowl loss.

But for many reasons, it makes a lot of sense to instead look at the bright side of the situation.

Like how effective several of the 49ers young core were impressive in Super Bowl 54 in spite of the loss. Or some optimism as to why the Niners might be able to return to the game’s highest stage for Super Bowl 55 in Tampa next year.

Or possibly the best course of action is focus on the positives by looking at several members of the squad who played well, not just in the Super Bowl, but throughout the entire playoffs in 2020.

One of the best parts of this list is how much it features players who look to be part of the 49ers core for years to come, which is one of the many reasons why the future of this franchise appears to be bright. In comparison to a number of Super Bowl-winning or Super Bowl-losing teams, which often can go “all in” on any year’s championship, the current 49ers crop appears built for sustained success.

And that success revealed itself all over the field during the regular season and into the postseason, too. From established veterans to younger talent, including first-year rookies, the Niners sure got a maximum level of performance from many players during the playoffs.
