With the San Francisco 49ers coming off a bye, Niner Noise looks at NFL power rankings after the weekend’s action heading into Week 12. And there are plenty of upsets and ugly games to break down.

Niner Noise’s NFL power rankings sure got a few shakeups over the weekend.

Heading into Week 13, who would have guessed the lowly New York Giants would have knocked off the Kansas City Chiefs? Considering the San Francisco 49ers beat the Giants a week ago, does that mean the Niners are on par with Kansas City now?

No, of course not. But it’s fun to think about.

At any rate, there were more than a few blowouts, upsets and thrillers last week. The New Orleans Saints game was sure exciting. But the aforementioned contest between the Giants and Chiefs? Not so much.

Meanwhile, down in Mexico City, the New England Patriots reminded us why they’re, you know, the Patriots. It sure seems like all those early season struggles are in the rear-view mirror right now.

So let’s take a look at this week’s NFL power rankings heading into Week 13 and compare them to last week, starting with a team that probably winds up hanging out in the basement for the rest of the year, the Cleveland Browns.
