Sure, this team is less than a year removed from a 2-14 record. There are still plenty of roster holes.
And in all likelihood, San Francisco won’t be all that great this season.

Still, the 49ers are trending on the right path. An influx of talent, including top-tier players like defensive end Solomon Thomas and linebacker Reuben Foster, already points to some major improvement this upcoming year.

No, the Niners aren’t going to be a playoff team after Week 17 wraps up. Although a previous schedule prediction did have San Francisco at seven wins. That’s not too shabby.
