The 49ers (spoiler alert) get to remain on top of NFL power rankings for at least one more week.
The San Francisco 49ers took care of business yet again, extending their undefeated streak to 6-0 and maintaining their status as the best team in football with a 23-17 win over the Washington Commanders.
It won't register as the most impressive win in the streak, but a win is a win, and the Niners are the only team that goes into Week 7 with a 6-0 record (the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings are undefeated, but sit at 5-0 having both had a bye).
As always, view the rankings below and let's get to it!

Week 7 NFL power rankings: 49ers still on top
1. San Francisco 49ers (6-0) - Last Week: 1
The 49ers maintain their spot in the top of the rankings, but once again suffered a bad injury. Mike Evans isn't expected to be out for a significant period of time, but the Niners are beginning to run out of wide receivers in a hurry.
2. Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) - Last Week: 2
Kansas City was never seriously threatened by the Chargers, but it's going to be interesting to see how Patrick Mahomes and Co. go against a Seahawks team desperate to salvage their season.
3. Buffalo Bills (5-1) - Last Week: 3
While the box score says they won by three, the truth is the Bills were up by double digits before a garbage-time score by the Raiders made it look more respectable.
There's always going to be some questions if Buffalo can get over the hump, but for now, it looks like a true contender.
4. Baltimore Ravens (4-2) - Last Week: 4
The loss against Cleveland is horrific, but Baltimore will get a mulligan because Lamar Jackson is due to return. Tyler Huntley is a good backup to have, but he's no Jackson.
The battle for the AFC North is going to get a lot tougher for the Ravens, however, should they lose to the Bengals.
5. Minnesota Vikings (5-0) - Last Week: 5
People are finding it hard to trust the Vikings with their sketchy offense, and that's fair enough. But the Vikings are legitimate, if for no other reason than their powerful defense and Kyler Murray looking like a decent NFL quarterback again.
6. New England Patriots (4-2) - Last Week: 8
The Patriots are officially beyond their slow start to the season, and Drake Maye looks like he has his confidence back, too. All of a sudden, they look like a legitimate AFC contender yet again.
7. Chicago Bears (4-2) - Last Week: 9
This is why I didn't overreact to the performance against the Packers, given the Bears' fortunes were sure to change with Caleb Williams coming back. He's become one of the elite very quickly, and you can see that by how different the offense is without him.
8. Denver Broncos (4-2) - Last Week: 11
The Broncos are the AFC version of the Vikings: Amazing defense, but you simply do not trust the offense. Bo Nix looked abysmal despite technically leading the Broncos to an game-winning drive in OT.
9. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) - Last Week: 7
Consider the Jaguars on fraud watch. They needed luck to beat the Eagles, which is looking less impressive by the day, knowing what we now know regarding Jalen Hurts' health, and then lost to the Texans despite the fact they remained behind in London while the Texans had to travel.
10. Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) - Last Week: 10
The Bengals might have had their bye week at the perfect time, given their game against the Ravens this week may be instrumental in their quest for AFC North supremacy.
11. Carolina Panthers (3-2) - Last Week: 12
It wasn't the most impressive win of the week, but the Panthers taking care of business automatically makes them the best team in the NFC South.
It's not the highest bar, but it's a bar that gets you into the playoffs if you clear it.
12. Green Bay Packers (4-2) - Last Week: 15
The good news is the offense is humming along with Jordan Love in great form and a defense that's allowing less than 12 points a game the last three weeks.
The bad news is they are awful at running the ball, and the defense feasted on two backup quarterbacks and a misfunctioning Dallas offense in those three weeks.
Still, the Packers should get better at those two things when Josh Jacobs and Micah Parsons get back on the field.
13. Seattle Seahawks (3-2) - Last Week: 6
I don't think Seattle is bad, but it's becoming more clear by the week Sam Darnold misses Klint Kubiak and Kenneth Walker badly, and the offense is now Jaxon Smith-Njigba or bust.
The defense is still a nightmare for teams, but the offense needs to find a new dimension.
14. Detroit Lions (3-2) - Last Week: 14
The NFC North is fast becoming the best division in football, and it isn't out of the question the upcoming game against the Packers has now become a must-win for the Lions.
Don't believe me? The Vikings refuse to lose, the Packers have surged and the Bears are arguably the best offense in the league with Caleb Williams healthy.
Detroit can't afford to go 3-3 in this division.
15. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) - Last Week: 16
You will forgive me if I don't drop to my knees in awe over the Steelers needing overtime to beat Jalon Daniels.
Daniels' Cinderella run is now officially a pumpkin.
16. Houston Texans (2-4) - Last Week: 21
Texans stock watch: Slowly but steadily increasing, watch for a big spike if they get past the Giants, Chargers and Browns in their next three games to move back over .500.
17. Cleveland Browns (4-2) - Last Week: 23
It's not as if the Browns look amazing, but they're finding ways to win. But they lost to the Jets as well, so they easily could be 5-1. I'm slightly rambling here, but I just hate the fact they lost to the Jets, because nothing would say "this season is crazy" more than the Browns atop the AFC North.
But if they can handle the Titans, they may very well be a dark horse for the division if they follow that up against the Steelers.
18. New York Giants (3-2-1) - Last Week: 18
As weird as it is to say, but the Giants were one drive away from *checks notes* J.J. McCarthy completing an incredible comeback against the Saints. Jameis Winston is a fun backup, but he's erratic.
Maybe the G-Men owe it to themselves to seeing if they can rescue McCarthy's career and flip him to another team.
19. Las Vegas Raiders (3-3) - Last Week: 20
There's admittedly some swings that are going to be taken at a lot of the teams below the Raiders. They can take their one-spot increase in these rankings to a hard-fought if slightly misleading (by the final score) game against the Bills and be happy for it.
20. New Orleans Saints (2-4) - Last Week: 25
The Saints dominated the game until they let McCarthy, of all people, almost mount a miracle against them. That encapsulates NOLA perfectly if you think about it: solid football before moments of madness leave you utterly bewildered and wondering what on earth is going on.
21. Atlanta Falcons (2-4) - Last Week: 19
Don't let the final score fool you, the Falcons were down 31-7 to the Bears before garbage-time touchdowns took them to within a possession late. The truth is, this is a talented but just-too-inconsistent Atlanta team that just seems a step below the NFC elite.
The reason why I'm not docking the Falcons too hard is the Bears are an excellent team in my eyes, and they did have at least a decent charge of causing an upset.
22. Los Angeles Rams (2-3) - Last Week: 13
I said the Rams were on fraud watch last week, so if you excuse me.
Fraud. Fraud. Fraud. Fraud. Fraud. Fraud. Fraud. Fraud. Fraud.
23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-5) - Last Week: 26
The Buccaneers lost in overtime and are getting Baker Mayfield back, so they get a small bump in the standings. Mayfield hasn't been good this season, but it's clear he will be an upgrade over Jalon Daniels.
24. Indianapolis Colts (2-4) - Last Week: 17
It may be time to hop off the Colts bandwagon. It was fun, but it's time to focus on one AFC South bandwagon and that's going to be the Texans.
25. Arizona Cardinals (2-4) - Last Week: 29
Maybe we should just christen them the Los Angeles Cardinals and be done with it, given they're 2-0 at SoFi Stadium this year and 0-4 everywhere else.
26. Washington Commanders (1-4-1) - Last Week: 28
Washington was one dropped Treylon Burks pass away from potentially upsetting the 49ers at home, although it's important to remember that the Niners couldn't get anything going on offense after Mike Evans went off the field.
Given the weak division and this performance, however, it isn't entirely out of the question the Commanders could make a run after the bye, given they have some beaten up teams in the Eagles, Rams and Giants for the three games afterwards.
27. New York Jets (2-4) - Last Week: 24
The Jets played the Patriots tough and were in touch for a lot of the second half, so it's nice to see them have a performance they can take some pride in even if they did lose.
28. Dallas Cowboys (2-4) - Last Week: 22
Dak Prescott can't throw the ball, the Cowboys can't run the ball, blocking is horrible, the defense is a mess after needlessly trading Micah Parsons, and this is your reminder they traded a Round 2 pick for Joey Porter Jr. two weeks ago because they thought they were close to the Super Bowl.
And yet, amazingly, the Cowboys aren't even two games out of first place in the division, and that team has lost its starting quarterback for the season.
The NFC East, ladies and gentlemen.
29. Tennessee Titans (1-5) - Last Week: 32
Of course, the Titans got a win the week after I moved them to the bottom of the rankings. Maybe this is good news for the Dolphins, given they (spoiler alert) will take the spot back this week.
30. Philadelphia Eagles (2-4) - Last Week: 27
Jalen Hurts being out of the season would be a big enough issue even if the Eagles weren't already in a funk, but what's concerning is the series of events in London that seemed to snowball into this whole situation with his blood clots. There's so many unanswered questions we don't have answers for right now.
But most important is the health of Hurts, and we wish him well.
31. Los Angeles Chargers (0-6) - Last Week: 30
I don't know what changes the Chargers will make during their bye week, but maybe they can send a certain EDGE to the 49ers and rebuild for the future.
Couldn't hurt, right?
32. Miami Dolphins (0-5) - Last Week: 31
This feels borderline cruel given they were on their bye week, but the Titans had to come off the foot of the rankings. Maybe the Dolphins can get a similar bump when they play the Jets?!
