The 49ers will kick off training camp in the second half of July, followed by both the preseason and regular season.

The NFL just announced training camp start dates for all 32 teams ahead of the 2024 season.

As part of the phased offseason workout program, mandated by the current collective bargaining agreement between the league and the players union, teams partake in a ramped-up training camp phase that'll kick off in the middle of summer and lead into the preseason, which begins in August.

When will 49ers begin training camp?

The San Francisco 49ers open up training camp in two waves.

The first wave begins on July 16 when rookies are to report to the facility. On July 23, veterans are to report.

The actual schedule for training camp workouts has not yet been released, but practices typically cover a four-day span, followed by a day off before four more days of practice. Pads usually go on roughly halfway through camp.

Where is 49ers training camp?

Training camp is held at the SAP Performance Facility outside of Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Typically, the Niners have sold tickets to fans who wish to attend on certain permitted days, and proceeds have gone to charitable organizations.

Camp will continue for the rest of July and into early August before San Francisco's first preseason game of the year, scheduled on Saturday, Aug. 10 on the road against the Tennessee Titans.

The 49ers then open up the regular season at home against the New York Jets on Monday, Sept. 9.
