Yes, preseason games do matter.

Especially to the fringe players desperately trying to make the Niners' 53-man roster.

While the 49ers' regular season is of the most interest, fans will still want to pay attention to the Niners' 2024 exhibition campaign.

The San Francisco 49ers' 2024 regular-season schedule is now released, and it'll feature the maximum of six primetime games along with rematches against every opponent the Niners faced in the playoffs a year ago.

Pretty cool.

Some feel as if the NFL should ditch the preseason, or at least cut it down from three exhibition games to two. But, at least for now, there'll be three preseason bouts on every team's docket, plus two more teams playing in the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame game prior to these exhibition bouts.

San Francisco won't be playing the Hall of Fame game this year, but head coach Kyle Shanahan's squad will still have its regular slate of three preseason games beginning in August.

For those who simply can't wait for 49ers football to be back on television, here's the team's preseason schedule for 2024 that'll prime everyone for the regular season in September.
