The 49ers open up their 2024 preseason on the road against the Titans this Saturday, and here's how to you can tune in.

Preseason football might not be quite as exciting (and it's certainly less meaningful) than the regular season.

But either way, it's great to have San Francisco 49ers football back.

The Niners open up their 2024 preseason campaign against the Tennessee Titans, squaring off in Nashville this Saturday, Aug. 10, for what'll be the first of three exhibition tilts before regular-season action commences in September.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan has already given some insight into whether or not most of his star players will play, and it's likely the bulk of field time will go primarily to backups and reserves, many of whom are desperately trying to carve out a spot on the soon-to-be-created 53-man roster, which will go live once the regular season begins.

49ers injury report vs. Titans

Teams aren't required to list official injury reports for exhibition games, but Shanahan provided some insight into player injuries, including whether or not some would be available for Saturday.

Running back Christian McCaffrey is dealing with a calf strain and is not expected to play this preseason, while fellow rushers Isaac Guerendo and Elijah Mitchell are working through hamstring issues.

Punter Mitch Wishnowsky has a knee issue, as does offensive lineman Jon Feliciano. Offensive lineman Spencer Burford has a broken hand, while wide receiver Ricky Pearsall is working through a shoulder issue.

Shanahan also pointed out that many of his starters wouldn't be playing on Saturday.
