Updated 49ers wide receiver depth chart after the 2024 NFL Draft

6. Jacob Cowing

Jacob Cowing, drafted in this year's NFL Draft, gives the 49ers a burst of speed that they do not have as of right now outside of Danny Gray. He could potentially be a deep threat or maybe even a guy they use in reverses or trick plays to try to deceive opposing defenses.

7. Trent Taylor

The wide receiver room is much stronger now than the last time Trent Taylor was in it. He was solid in his first stint with the Niners, but we will have to see how much playing time he will get with so many guys ahead of him on the depth chart.

8. Ronnie Bell

Ronnie Bell had an up-and-down rookie season with the Niners. He did some good things as a receiver but was a little shaky as a punt returner. He also had some route-running issues later in the year. He will need to prove himself if he is going to get playing time next season.

9. Danny Gray

Gray was the speed threat the 49ers had been looking for, but unfortunately, injuries have limited his time on the field. He only has one catch in his two NFL seasons. He is a potential cut candidate unless he had a great training camp and preseason.

10. Terique Owens

The Niners signed Terique Owens as an undrafted free agent. The son of Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, it remains to be seen how he will fare in the NFL. Perhaps he will be a practice squad guy who can be called up if injuries occur.

There is the updated depth chart for the 49ers at wide receiver.
