There is a way for some fans to watch the 49ers' Thursday Night Football game against the Giants without having to have an Amazon Prime account.

The San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants each play their first primetime game of the 2023 season this Thursday, battling it out in front of a national audience on Thursday Night Football.

The 2-0 Niners will also be playing their home opener after back-to-back road victories in Weeks 1 and 2 over the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Rams, respectively, while the 1-1 Giants were shut out in Week 1 by the Dallas Cowboys 40-0 and then fell behind the Arizona Cardinals 20-0 before scratching out an epic comeback win, 31-28.

While the game will be a nationwide broadcast, there are only a handful of ways to physically watch the primetime contest.

49ers vs. Giants on Thursday Night Football will be an Amazon Prime broadcast

2023 marks the second season that Amazon Prime has had exclusive rights for broadcasting Thursday Night Football.

Fans who want to watch the game on television on on preferred devices will have to stream it via their Amazon Prime account.

How to watch 49ers vs. Giants on Thursday Night Football without Amazon Prime

For most of the country, there isn't any credible way to watch Thursday night's contest between San Francisco and New York other than via Amazon Prime.

However, in-market fans can tune into local television broadcasts.

For the greater Bay Area, KTVU Fox 2 will air the game on TV, while New York-area fans can watch the game on Fox 5 New York.

Kickoff between the 49ers and Giants is on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 8:20 p.m. ET from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
