It took just one game for 49ers' Nick Bosa to get screwed over by refs

Nick Bosa is getting held again, and the officials aren't calling it... again.
San Francisco 49ers fans are all too familiar with opposing offensive linemen holding defensive end Nick Bosa.
It happened in the Super Bowl (both of them against the Kansas City Chiefs), multiple times during regular-season games, and then some.
And it looks as if that'll continue being a trend for Bosa and Co. over the course of 2024, too.
The Niners opened up this year's campaign at home on Monday Night Football against the New York Jets, another Super Bowl hopeful, and it didn't take too long for the officials to miss an outlandish and blatant hold on the former Defensive Player of the Year.
Late in the second quarter, with San Francisco leading 13-7, Bosa appeared to be held while rushing Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, New York's blocker with his arms well around the edge rusher's neck.
Fortunately for San Francisco, Rodgers' attempted pass fell incomplete, and the Jets would have been flagged for an illegal formation anyway, a call that was ultimately declined.
However, the reactions quickly started coming in about the non-call.
Including one from former 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman, who doesn't hesitate to speak his mind:
Sherman clearly isn't happy with the Bosa non-call, and he probably has his own memories about the lack of calls in that first Niners Super Bowl loss against KC because he was there, too.
One can only hope referee Carl Cheffers' crew is reviewed for that particular play, and one can only hope Bosa doesn't wind up getting held over the course of 2024 with no penalties called.
