3 reasons Brock Purdy will bounce back for 49ers vs. Commanders
No. 1: Brock Purdy bounced back earlier this year
Earlier in the year when the Niners had their three-game losing streak, there were people questioning Purdy. He made some uncharacteristic mistakes in those losses that made some doubt whether he was as good as he had looked in the first five games.
Then, after the bye week, Purdy came out and played incredibly well against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He continued to play well for the next five games and led the Niners to an impressive six-game winning streak.
Coming back from that adversity earlier in the season will definitely help Purdy as he tries to get back on track after the disappointing game against Baltimore.
Of course, it should be noted that Purdy does not have the benefit of a bye week like he did earlier in the year to have a mental and physical reset before raising the level of his play.
However, maybe a short week after a bad game will be good for him because he will not have to dwell too much on the last game and can instead look forward.
Purdy has bounced back from poor play in the past, so there is no reason to think he can’t do it again.
