Brock Purdy had the worst game of his professional career against the Baltimore Ravens. He threw four interceptions as the San Francisco 49ers lost to the Ravens 33-19.

But it's just one game. A bad one at that, yes, yet every quarterback worth his weight will have them.

It's all about bouncing back.

Brock Purdy is poised to bounce back for 49ers against Commanders

While this was a very disappointing performance, there is good reason to believe that Purdy will be able to bounce back in Week 17 versus the Washington Commanders.

It is easy to overreact to one game, but it is worth remembering just how good Purdy has been for the Niners this year. While his MVP candidacy has likely dimmed, he was still a legitimate contender for the award late into the season and that was not by accident.

He still leads the league in important passing categories like yards per attempt and passer rating.

It goes without saying that a lot of the success the 49ers have had in 2023, and frankly since he took over as starter last season, is because of Purdy.

Not in spite of him.

Let’s look at three reasons why Purdy is poised to have a big bounce back game this Sunday against the Commanders.
