By Peter Panacy
For fans who can't watch or stream the 49ers' Week 1 showdown against the Steelers and want to tune into the radio broadcast, we've got you covered.
The opening weekend of an NFL season is always a special occasion, and fans across the country will make sure they've cleared their schedules and set up watch parties to cheer on favorite teams.
However, not everyone will be able to attend games in person or even watch or stream the game on television.
Don't fret it. For decades, long before television was a household thing, football fans had to tune into radio broadcasts if they weren't attending games in person. Although for most fans of the San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers, you'd have to go back quite a ways to when this was the only option.
OK, we've bored you enough. You're a fan who can't watch the game on TV, can't attend it at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh and can't stream it to a preferred device.
What do you do? How can you tune into this Week 1 showdown on the radio?
