2. Brock Purdy and the offensive line are struggling

While Brock Purdy did not throw for a touchdown in Week 1 against the Jets, he didn't need to as San Francisco won 32-19. Since then, the 49ers' starting quarterback has thrown five touchdowns and just two picks.

He was able to connect with third-tier wide receiver Jauan Jennings 11 times in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Rams, including a trio of touchdowns. Purdy was 8 yards shy of throwing for 300 in that game.

Despite being taken down six times in Week 2 by the Minnesota Vikings, Purdy still torched their defense for 319 yards in the air. Since being sacked a combined eight times in the first two weeks, theNiners' offensive line has protected their quarterback better.

The 49ers are one of three teams to average over 400 yards of offense a game. Both of those other teams, the Baltimore Ravens and Green Bay Packers, have lost at least two games already and qualified for last season's playoffs.

Center Jake Brendel and offensive tackle Trent Williams are the only two players with more than five years of experience. Rookie Dominick Puni has some high expectations after being selected by San Francisco in the third round of this year's draft.

Not necessarily flashy, but the O-line is adequately doing its job in front of Purdy.
