Fans attending 49ers vs. Saints preseason game will love the NFL weather forecast
By Peter Panacy
The weather at Levi's Stadium this Sunday will be absolutely ideal when the 49ers host the Saints for Week 2 of the preseason.
One of the benefits of living in Northern California is the weather is rarely bad. And even during more inclement-weather months, the forecast is hardly terrible.
No massive snowstorms, only the occasional deluge of rain, usually warmer conditions in comparison to the rest of the country.
No wonder it's so crowded (and expensive) to call the Bay Area home.
The San Francisco 49ers will have their preseason home opener this Sunday, Aug. 18, hosting the New Orleans Saints for the second week of exhibition action. And while the game itself has little meaning, aside from yet another tune-up for the forthcoming regular season, it'll be the first chance this season for the home crowd at Levi's Stadium to watch a contest.
While night games at Levi's Stadium can be a bit chilly later in the year, especially with the breeze blowing off San Francisco Bay, fans in attendance this Sunday evening won't have to worry about exceptionally cool and windy weather.
NFL weather forecast for 49ers vs. Saints is absolutely ideal
According to the latest weather predictions for Sunday's game, the temperature at kickoff will be 70 degrees with clear skies and 14 miles-per-hour northwesterly winds.
The humidity will be 64 percent with a lowly one-percent chance of precipitation, and sunset is predicted to be around 7:54 p.m., local time.

There are predicted wind gusts up to 23 miles per hour, which could have a modest impact on the game. But, considering the final score doesn't truly matter, few will find themselves complaining about the occasional burst of breeze.
