The 2024 NFL schedule isn't released yet, but Deebo Samuel apparently dropped a hint that the 49ers could be playing across the pond.

The 2024 NFL regular-season schedule won't be officially announced until Wednesday, May 15.

But that doesn't mean leaks and rumors won't abound between now and then.

One of the possible rumors surrounding the San Francisco 49ers' upcoming schedule stemmed from a star player himself, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who dropped a hint that the Niners could be squaring off against someone from Great Britain.

At least if one connects the dots.

Deebo Samuel hints at 49ers playing an international game in United Kingdom

The tweet doesn't say much, a one-second clip of Samuel saying, "big news coming."

However, it was shared on the NFL's official UK and Ireland Twitter/X platform, including text that reads, "Deebo knows the score" with popcorn and Union Jack emojis:

Does that mean the Niners Faithful over in Great Britain will have a chance to see their favorite team in person for the first time since 2013 when San Francisco defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium?

Perhaps.

Now, the Jaguars, Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings are already known to be the home team for international games in the greater London area this season, and Minnesota is one of the road teams the 49ers will face on their 2024 schedule.

So, it certainly seems possible the Niners end up being the "road" team against the Vikings for this tilt in the UK, at least based on what Samuel is hinting at.

Minnesota will host its UK game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

San Francisco last played an international game in 2022 when it defeated the Arizona Cardinals in Mexico City, Mexico.
