No. 4: Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (Lions)

While we're on the subject of former 49ers who may be free-agent targets, another possible name who could shore up a relative position of weakness this offseason is Detroit Lions cornerback Emmanuel Moseley.

The Niners need reinforcement opposite Charvarius Ward and Deommodore Lenoir, and going with a veteran presence might be superior for a Super Bowl contender rather than relying on a drafted rookie.

Moseley, like Kendrick Bourne, is coming off a torn ACL suffered just one game into his brief stint in Detroit, meaning he'll have significantly more time to recover and be 100 percent in time for 2024.

When he was healthy, Moseley was more than just a reliable spot starter for San Francisco in 2021 and 2022 as someone who could either start on the boundary or at nickel, meaning the 49ers could have their starting trio with Moseley coming in on the cheap.

And it wouldn't deter the Niners from drafting a corner for long-term development either.
