49ers announce they've signed all their 2023 NFL Draft class

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The 49ers won't have to worry about an NFL Draft rookie not being able to participate in training camp because of a contract standoff.

It's pretty common for one or two rookies from any team's NFL Draft class not to sign a contract until the last minute, quite literally as training camp is starting toward the middle of summer.

The San Francisco 49ers' current regime of general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan experienced this back in 2017 with their first draft pick, defensive end Solomon Thomas, who didn't get out on the field right away because the pen hadn't been put to paper.

For the 2023 class of rookies, Lynch and Shanahan won't have to worry about that.

The Niners announced on Friday that they had reached contractual agreements with all nine of their 2023 NFL Draft picks, signing them to four-year deals, as well as having 12 undrafted free agents under contract now, too.

Under the current collective bargaining agreement between the league and players union, rookie contracts are at set amounts that give a certain amount depending on where a player was picked.

Standoffs and holdouts, however, can stem from other language within the contract, which was originally the case with Thomas' delay back in 2017.

Who are the 49ers NFL Draft picks from 2023?
