49ers could legit actually draft Jerry Rice, Frank Gore's kids in the same year

Nepotism would be absolutely rad in this case.

If it's indeed a family affair with the 49ers, then the children of both Jerry Rice and Frank Gore need to don the red and gold after the 2024 NFL Draft.

Admit it, there's a small part of you that would want nothing more than the San Francisco 49ers using two picks on the children of some absolute Niners legends.

OK, all of you probably wants it to happen.

The great thing is that it's entirely possible, too. And you don't even need to act as if you haven't heard of the two San Francisco legends either. They're two of the most iconic players in 49ers history, Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice and soon-to-be Hall of Fame running back Frank Gore.

As if the stars aligned, the Niners could feasibly draft the children of both Rice and Gore in the 2024 NFL Draft this spring.

No joke.

Frank Gore Jr., Brenden Rice both declare for 2024 NFL Draft (49ers could grab them both)

Frank Gore Jr., who rushed for 4,022 yards and 26 touchdowns over four seasons with Southern Mississippi, the last two of which accounted for 1,100 yards apiece, declared for the draft earlier this December:

Nepotism could be at play here, as Gore Sr. is employed within San Francisco's front office and would have some influence on whether or not general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan would want to use one of their 11 picks in 2024 on the franchise's all-time leading rusher's son.

But, it's doubtful anyone would mind. Especially if the younger Gore winds up being anywhere remotely as serviceable as his father.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Brenden Rice of USC has also declared for the draft in 2024 after a 45-catch, 791-yard campaign that included 12 touchdowns in 2023.

The younger Rice is viewed as a Round 3 pick, and the 49ers could also use some receiving depth to bolster the support available to their top two wideouts, Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel.

Plus, Jerry Rice is always around at Niners games anyway. Having the younger Rice on the roster would certainly save the GOAT from having to make extra trips.

OK, Lynch and Shanahan. You know what to do on draft day now.
