The 49ers will be shorthanded on their offensive line for Thursday Night Football, as Spencer Burford will nurse an injury on the short week.
One of the challenges of playing on a short week is not having the normal amount of time to rest and recover from the previous weekend's game.
The San Francisco 49ers aren't dealing with a huge rash of injuries as they prepare for the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving for Thursday Night Football.
But they will be shorthanded on their offensive line.
Right guard Spencer Burford was dealing with a knee injury leading up to Thursday's game and was listed as questionable. And while there was a hope he'd be ready to go for the finale of Thanksgiving games, he'll ultimately end up sitting this one out.
49ers inactives vs. Seahawks: Spencer Burford is out, Aaron Banks back in
During the Niners' Week 11 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the O-line was also shorthanded as it was missing left guard Aaon Banks (toe). In his stead, veteran backup Jon Feliciano stepped up into a starter's role, and the same figures to be the case with Burford out.
Here's the list of inactives for Week 12:
- QB Brandon Allen
- OL Spencer Burford
- RB Tyrion Davis-Price
- LB Jalen Graham
- DL Kalia Davis
- TE Brayden WIllis
- OL Ben Bartch
Feliciano likely just moves back to the right side of the O-line, while Banks makes his return from a two-game absence.
The 49ers and Seahawks kick off on Thursday Night Football on Nov. 23 at 8:20 p.m. ET from Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.
