49ers fans would hate to see Davante Adams traded to one of these 3 teams

The Davante Adams trade rumor mill is alive and well once again. The star Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver reportedly may be traded soon.

If he is, San Francisco 49ers fans will be begging he does not land with any of these three teams.

There were some rumblings in the offseason that, with Niners wideout Brandon Aiyuk holding out for a contract, the 49ers could have traded Aiyuk to the Raiders in exchange for Adams. Of course, this did not come to fruition as San Francisco wound up extending Aiyuk.

In a perfect world, the Niners adding Adams would be amazing. He is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and has the potential to elevate their already potent offense to another plane entirely.

Him ending up with San Francisco seems unlikely though. Reporting suggests that Adams wants to end up either with the New York Jets or the New Orleans Saints so he can be reunited with Aaron Rodgers or Derek Carr, two of his old quarterbacks.

Most 49ers fans would be fine with him going to either of those teams, but they would be apoplectic if he went to any of these three teams.

1. Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks already have an impressive receiving corps with D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. They have also gotten off to a very strong start on the year as they currently lead the NFC West with a record of 3-1.

Trading for Adams would give the Seahawks a truly fearsome air attack. They would likely have to give up Smith-Njigba as well as a draft pick or two, but it would be worth it.

It would also drive 49ers fans crazy knowing their team would have to contend with such a great talent.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

It would be awful if Adams got traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The last thing 49ers fans need is quarterback Patrick Mahomes throwing to someone as great as Adams. This trade would make sense, though, especially after Mahomes injured wide receiver Rashee Rice by inadvertently tackling him last Sunday.

Maybe if they gave up wide receiver Xavier Worthy and some picks, that would get the job done and make the Chiefs even more scary.

Needless to say, Niners fans would be repulsed by San Francisco's top Super Bowl adversary landing Adams.

3. Philadelphia Eagles

If any team could use Adams right now, it would probably be the Philadelphia Eagles. They are currently without their top two wide receivers, A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith. Adding Adams would shore up that receiving corps and give quarterback Jalen Hurts a clear No. 1 target to throw to.

Ever since the NFC Championship game between the Eagles and Niners in early 2023, there has been bad blood between the two franchises. Even though they do not play in the regular season this year, Niners fans would no doubt be upset seeing Philadelphia get any help.

It remains to be seen where Adams will end up, but if he winds up with any of the three teams in this article, 49ers fans are going to have a hard time coping.
