The 49ers have already made one selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, and they'll be on the clock for both rounds on Day 2.

In theory, the San Francisco 49ers could have traded down from the 31st overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, which would have assuredly landed them at least one more selection on day two.

They didn't, though, staying put at that spot and grabbing Florida wide receiver Ricky Pearsall.

That was the first of 10 projected selections at general manager John Lynch's disposal. With nine left, Lynch and the Niners still have plenty of work to do before calling their 2024 draft class as finalized.

So, when is San Francisco scheduled to be back on the clock?

Where will 49ers pick on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft?

The 49ers own each of their picks in Rounds 2 and 3 of the draft, which is scheduled to kick off on Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m. ET from Detroit, Michigan.

Having made it to the Super Bowl last season, the Niners will own the second-to-last pick in Round 2 and the 31st pick in Round 3.

  • Round 2: No. 63 overall
  • Round 3: No. 94 overall

San Francisco does not have a compensatory selection in the third round this season, which means those are the only two picks currently on the docket.

That could change, however, if the 49ers end up executing some sort of trade between now and either one of those picks, perhaps moving down in the order or potentially trading away a player, such as wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel, although a second- or third-round value in return is somewhat hard to fathom.

It's also possible Lynch and Co. trade up, which could result in a scenario where their third-round pick is used to move up from No. 63 overall.

Either way, fans can at least expect the Niners to be active on the second day of the draft.
