49ers NFL draft picks in 2024, 2025 and beyond: Full list

For the first time in what seems like forever, the Niners have a first-round NFL Draft pick again.

Barring trade-ups and trade-offs, they'll be picking a lot in 2024 and 2025.

The 49ers will need to look to the NFL Draft to restock an aging and increasingly expensive roster in 2024 and beyond.

The San Francisco 49ers are certainly still feeling the sting from the failure of quarterback Trey Lance become the franchise's cornerstone.

In 2022 and 2023, the Niners were without a first-round NFL Draft pick after trading those away to move up to the No. 3 overall pick in 2021, which was subsequently used on Lance.

Lance was ultimately traded off to the Dallas Cowboys just ahead of the 2023 regular season in exchange for a fourth-round pick, ending that experiment, which means general manager John Lynch will again be on the clock in Round 1 for the first time since April of 2021.

With an aging roster and plenty of increasingly expensive player contracts, San Francisco needs to hit on at least a few prospects in 2024 and 2025.

Let's take a look at what draft picks it will have at its disposal this year, next year and even beyond.

List of 49ers NFL Draft picks in 2024

  • Round 1, No. 31 overall
  • Round 2, No. 63 overall
  • Round 3, No. 94 overall
  • Round 4, No. 125 overall (from Cowboys)
  • Round 4, No. 132 overall (compensatory)
  • Round 4, No. 135 overall
  • Round 5, No. 175 overall (compensatory)
  • Round 6, No. 211 overall (compensatory)
  • Round 6, No. 215 overall (compensatory)
  • Round 7, No. 249 overall

Updated on March 14 after the Niners sent one of their two Round 7 picks to the Houston Texans for defensive tackle Maliek Collins.

The 49ers are projected to have 10 picks, four of which are compensatory, for the 2024 draft.

In Round 3, the Niners were awarded one because of the Rooney Rule, thanks to the Tennessee Titans hiring Ran Carthon to be their general manager. Yet that was dished off to the Washington Commanders in exchange for edge Chase Young.

The free-agent departures of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, edge Samson Ebukam, safety Jimmie Ward and linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair account for the other comp picks, while the Round 7 selection from the Denver Broncos was part of the midseason trade for defensive end Randy Gregory.

List of 49ers NFL Draft picks in 2025

  • Round 1
  • Round 2
  • Round 3
  • Round 4
  • Round 6
  • Round 7 (from Panthers)

San Francisco engaged in a seventh-round pick swap with the Carolina Panthers for former kicker Zane Gonzalez, who never made the team's 53-man roster in 2023 once fellow kicker Jake Moody was selected in Round 3 of last year's draft.

Also, the team forfeits its fifth-round pick in 2025 for a miscalculation of payroll, as reported by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Currently, the 49ers own all of their other picks in the previous rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Compensatory selections for a net loss of qualifying free agents, or because of Rooney Rule hires, won't be determined until spring of next year.

49ers NFL Draft picks in 2026 and beyond

The Niners have yet to deal or acquire any future picks beyond the 2025 season, meaning they currently own one each in Rounds 1 through 7 in 2026 and for the foreseeable future.
