13. Final. 12. 42. 49ers-Chargers score. 23

The final preseason game is the last chance for 49ers players to make their case for the 53-man roster. Niner Noise details 3 Niners who solidified their roster spot against the Chargers.

The San Francisco 49ers' third preseason game of 2023 against the Los Angeles Chargers was an opportunity for a tune-up for the starters who did play, but for the players on the back end of the roster, it was their final chance to show why they should make the 53-man roster.

And there is quite a bit of competition up for grabs, a surprise for a Niners roster that has mostly established players filling the ranks. But the depths of the roster have been left up for competition, and San Francisco's rookies and veteran flier signings have made their push.

Back before training camp started, I listed out five players who were playing for their jobs - and while many of them answered the call, none were more successful than the fifth "player" -- the late-round rookies. In fact, players like Ronnie Bell, Jalen Graham, and Dee Winters have played so well, that it is no longer a real question whether they will make the 53-man roster.

There is always a lot that goes behind roster decisions than what viewers can see in preseason games, but live reps are always live reps.

Here are three players who cemented their spot on the 53-man roster after Friday night's tilt against the Bolts.
