The San Francisco 49ers got a massive win on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, 32-29. So many players had a hand in the victory, but wide receiver Mike Evans stood out above the rest. He hauled in seven catches for 113 yards and a touchdown, and he also had a key two-point conversion late in the game.

If that wasn't enough, he also pulled off one of the best trolls of the year on Seahawks cornerback Trevon Diggs. When Diggs was seemingly jawing at Evans early in the contest, Evans grabbed his body and turned him around to look at the name on the back of his jersey, essentially saying, "And who are you?"

It was a hilarious moment that showed that the 33-year-old can still put a cornerback in his rightful place.

The fact that Diggs was even trying to talk smack to Evans is hilarious. The latter is on a Hall-of-Fame pace in his career, while Diggs has been a shell of himself after his massive rookie season in 2021 for the Dallas Cowboys, in which he had 11 interceptions.

Dallas cut him loose last season, and he's bounced from the Green Bay Packers to Seattle's practice squad and was just elevated before Sunday's game. The fact that he's jawing at Evans like he is still an All-Pro player is absurd, and Evans handled the situation in exactly the right way.

Mike Evans doing more for 49ers than just talk trash

Evans backed it up with his play, and he is proving each and every week just how great a free agent acquisition he has been. The Niners needed a true No. 1 receiver badly after last season, and he and quarterback Brock Purdy have quickly established a rapport. Evans now has 326 receiving yards and three touchdowns on the season.

Just to make what he has done even more impressive, he has played the last two weeks with broken ribs. He is only more important to San Francisco after Deebo Samuel went down with a hamstring injury on Sunday, not to mention all of the other wide receiver injuries the team has had since training camp.

He has been everything the 49ers could have hoped for and more, and he just helped put the Niners over the hump against the Seahawks, all while showing that he's not going to tolerate trash talk from washed-up cornerbacks.
