Ideal NFL weather will return as 49ers host rival Chiefs in Week 7

Week 7's weather at Levi's Stadium is going to be much more ideal than what was on tap two weeks ago.

The 49ers contended with extreme heat the last time they played at Levi's Stadium, but that won't be the case in Week 7 when they host the Chiefs.

Those who physically attended the Week 5 showdown between the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers can attest to the misery that existed because of Mother Nature.

Particularly those fans directly in the sunlight of the eastern concourses at Levi's Stadium.

With the original forecast calling for gametime temperatures around 90 degrees, followed by actual temps that reached close to 100, the sweltering conditions had to be awful and forced many a fan to simply watch the game on TV screens located elsewhere within the stadium.

Unfortunately, the Niners lost that bout amid players having to deal with the extreme conditions.

Two weeks later, San Francisco is back home and will face a chief adversary in Week 7, the Kansas City Chiefs, in a rematch of Super Bowl LVIII from last February.

Thankfully, there are no more sweltering heat waves forecasted to hit Northern California.

49ers vs Chiefs Week 7 game will have perfect NFL weather

It'll eventually get colder (and maybe wetter) in Northern California soon, but the preferable conditions that typically hit NorCal in October are back for Week 7.

The latest forecast calls for a kickoff temperature of 75 degrees with partly cloudy skies and a mere one-percent chance of precipitation, meaning the humidity will be a low 30 percent. There'll also be southwesterly winds of only three miles per hour, therefore the kicking game won't exactly be impacted.

Preferable conditions have to be a welcomed relief for those fans (and players) who endured scorching temperatures two weeks ago in what was a record-high for games played at Levi's Stadium.

Now, the hope is the Niners can take advantage.

San Francisco kicks off against Kansas City on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
