Deommodore Lenoir slams Seahawks' DK Metcalf with epic NSFW troll job

Maybe this will get the Niners and Seahawks rivalry back into form again.

42. Final. 24. 36. 49ers-Seahawks final. 36

Deommodore Lenoir and the 49ers held D.K. Metcalf in check in Week 6, and the Niners corner made sure Metcalf knew it.

The San Francisco 49ers ensured they wouldn't blow another fourth-quarter lead to an NFC West rival in Week 6 by beating the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football to the tune of 36-24.

One of the ways the Niners did so was by keeping Hawks star wide receiver D.K. Metcalf in check.

Metcalf, who was targeted a team-high 11 times throughout the game, managed only three passes for 48 yards, including a long of 30. He was also credited with a drop, although one could argue he should have held onto at least two other passes thrown his way.

San Francisco has a history of getting under Metcalf's skin. But the two-time Pro Bowler should have been salivating at this particular matchup, especially after top cornerback Charvarius Ward was ruled inactive because of a knee injury.

That ended up not mattering, though. And fellow cornerback Deommodore Lenoir wanted to let Metcalf know it.

Lenoir, who has risen to become one of the 49ers' best defensive backs over the last two years, played a role in shutting down Metcalf, breaking up one pass in the process.

While rookie defensive backs Renardo Green and Malik Mustapha eached logged interceptions during the primetime bout, Lenoir was the most outspoken and didn't hesitate to call out Metcalf and his lack of impact.

"I just know the hyena can't be f--cked with. I don't know what he was doing over there." Lenoir responded to KNBR 680 when asked about his matchup against Metcalf. "There was a lot of conversation out there. You're going to compete. It's football. We kept it football, but you know, one of us showed up tonight."

Metcalf, who appeared visibly frustrated throughout the first half when he was struggling to haul in passes, was mostly unable to take advantage of the depleted Niners secondary that was relying heavily on rookies and role players.

Lenoir's troll job didn't just stop in the locker room, though.

The following morning, posting on his Instagram account (h/t @TheSFNiners on X), Lenoir resumed taking shots at Metcalf by singing along with a "he got three catches" tune.

A little over 10 years ago, San Francisco versus Seattle was must-watch football, and the hated rivalry between the two teams only fueled the anticipation when they'd play each other.

Perhaps Lenoir's shots at Metcalf will reignite what's largely been a stagnant rivalry over the last few years.
