49ers inactives list for Week 6 Thursday Night Football game vs. Seahawks
By Peter Panacy
The 49ers visit the Seahawks for Thursday Night Football carrying some notable injuries that could impact the game.
Short weeks always put an increased amount of pressure on teams, particularly on the injury front.
For the San Francisco 49ers, coming off a gut-punch of a Week 5 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, it's especially true.
That game cost the Niners two key weapons, kicker Jake Moody (ankle) and safety Talanoa Hufanga (wrist), and both are expected to miss a lengthy amount of time during recovery. Shortly after announcing the final injury report ahead of its Thursday Night Football matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco placed Hufanga on injured reserve, meaning he'll be out a minimum of four weeks.
In his stead, the 49ers promoted tight end Brayden Willis from the practice squad.
Additionally, cornerback Charvarius Ward was a surprise add to the week's abbreviated injury report, currently dealing with a knee injury that forced him to miss Monday's practice before limiting him the subsequent two days.
Ward was ruled questionable, along with wide receiver Chris Conley (oblique).
If there's good news, tight end George Kittle (ribs) and linebacker Fred Warner (ankle) are both off the report and expected to play, reinforcing the Niners on both sides of the ball for the primetime showdown in Seattle.

Indeed, Ward is inactive after trying to go through pregame warmups but not meeting whatever health standards needing to be met. This likely pushes rookie corner Renardo Green into a more predominant role for the game.
The Hawks, too, are banged up and dealing with plenty of injuries, having already ruled out linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, defensive tackle Byron Murphy II and cornerback Tariq Woolen.
This affords San Francisco a greater opportunity to win this NFC West showdown despite its own injury problems.
