Deebo Samuel, Ricky Pearsall relish Steph Curry's greatness at Warriors game

This isn't the first time Niners players have given the NBA's Golden State Warriors some love.

As far as the #BayAreaUnite hashtag goes, 49ers wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Ricky Pearsall definitely appreciate the Warriors' legend, Steph Curry.

Greatness can recognize greatness. And that's precisely what a couple of San Francisco 49ers wide receivers did this week when they attented a Golden State Warriors game at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Granted, rookie wideout Ricky Pearsall hasn't exactly cemented a major legacy, although his first year in the NFL has been quite tumultuous. But his elder position mate with the Niners, Deebo Samuel, does have a leaguewide reputation as a dynamic playmaker.

However, both Samuel and Pearsall can recognize one of the NBA's all-time bests, Dubs guard Steph Curry, who had an emotional moment of his own when Golden State hosted the visiting Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night.

It marked the return of Curry's longtime teammate and fellow "Splash Brother," guard Klay Thompson, who signed with the Mavericks during the offseason after a storybook tenure in the Bay Area.

The Warriors won, 120-117, spurred on by Curry's fourth-quarter heroics.

And it goes without saying that both Samuel and Pearsall were impressed:

Of course, in the above video from KNBR 680, the two football pros have fun comparing the different sports, particularly with the rigors that would come with an 82-game regular-season schedule.

However, watching Curry sink threes is easily the part both Samuel and Pearsall admired the most.

Of Curry's 37 points, 12 of them marked the final ones scored in the Dubs' victory.

After the game, both Samuel and Pearsall had a chance to interact with Curry, sharing a cool moment when the rookie had a moment to bask in the future Hall of Famer's greatness:

Granted, this isn't the first time Niners players have joined forces with fellow Bay Area sports superstars.

But, at least for Pearsall, it's a chance to open doors to other greats with his own aim of becoming one in his own right.
