The talking point from the San Francisco 49ers' 12-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams isn't even that the Niners lost the game or that they're basically eliminated from playoff contention. No, the talking point is how De'Vondre Campbell decided that he didn't want to play when the Niners needed him to take the field.

Charvarius Ward didn't mince words when asked about Campbell's selfishness. "That was some sucker s***. Probably gonna get cut soon."

Yeah, Ward is right with his comments. It WAS some sucker s*** and Campbell should get cut since he quit on his team. His one job is to play football and he refused to do it. If you refuse to do your job, isn't the punishment typically termination?

Charvarius Ward hopes De'Vondre Campbell gets cut after quitting on 49ers

Ward isn't the only Niners player to call out Campbell and he won't be the last. George Kittle said that he'd never been on a team with someone who did something like that before and he hopes he never is again. Kittle is a pretty happy-go-lucky guy so to see him this peeved off about something is telling to how disrespectful Campbell's actions were.

Campbell isn't new to the league either. He's a nine-year NFL veteran who started his career as a fourth-round pick out of Minnesota who played for the Falcons, Cardinals, and Packers before signing with the 49ers this offseason. The hope was that he'd give the Niners' linebacker position some depth but clearly, that wasn't the case this week.

Campbell said last year when he was in Green Bay that he wasn't going to play through injuries anymore because "they always use it against you" when things go south. His job is to play football and if he doesn't want to do that, then he needs to retire.

One thing is crystal clear and that's that Campbell lost respect from his teammates with his actions and it'll be interesting to see where things go from here.
