With the Miami Dolphins in town, and the San Francisco 49ers offense knocking on the doorstep inside Miami's 5-yard line, quarterback Brock Purdy looked to his right and found fullback Kyle Juszczyk leaking out toward the flat.
A quick pass, catch and a breezy stroll into the end zone by Juszczyk for the touchdown.
Wait, was this Week 2's 35-13 victory over the Dolphins? Or was it Purdy's first-ever touchdown back in 2022 when he came into relief for the Niners' then-starter, Jimmy Garoppolo, after he suffered a foot injury?
Well, both. And even Juszczyk wasn't even sure when he looked back at the two touchdowns side by side.

Amid the celebratory atmosphere after the game, San Francisco's media team caught up with the veteran fullback postgame and showed him clips of both of Purdy's touchdown passes, the one to Juice in Week 2 and the other from way back in 2022.
Juszczyk admittedly couldn't tell the difference, and you might not be able to either (aside from looking at the score from each game):

"Is this 2022 or 2026, they look like the exact same play to me," Juszczyk admitted. "I literally was going to tell our media team to make this video."
Well, good thing the media team obliged.
Purdy, too, was presented with the side-by-side play and pointed out the obvious.
"It's crazy," the quarterback said when looking at the two plays. "Déjà vu. Yeah, that was actually crazy. Same corner, same everything."
Purdy did share it wasn't the exact same play as the one that notched his first touchdown back in 2022, but the similarities are hard to ignore.
One stark contrast, though, is where Purdy is at now. That stands in stark contrast to the relative unknown he was during his rookie season after the 49ers used the final pick of that year's NFL Draft on him.
Since then, the signal-caller has gone on to become one of the franchise's biggest cornerstones, so touchdown passes like Sunday's to Juszczyk have become routine and expected.
Good for him to ascend such a career arc.
