With the 11th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers selected Mykel Williams to add to their defense, a move that will terrify opposing offenses considering Williams will team up with Nick Bosa. Williams had five sacks during his 2024 season with the Bulldogs and will immediately pose a threat in this defense.

The 49ers needed help on their defensive line and even though Williams dealt with injuries this past season, he's as dynamic rusher as they come and can really do some damage for this defense. Oh, and did I mention he'll be teaming up with Bosa? Straight up horrifying.

49ers give Nick Bosa the best possible sidekick for 2025 season

The 49ers are at their best when their defense can do the talking and this pick shows they're planning on getting back to that. Williams is an explosive pass-rusher and will also hopefully open things up for Bosa so that he can also keep doing his thing and sacking quarterbacks.

Williams was able to line up all over the field during his Georgia days, which is another plus for the Niners. Some Niners fans might have been wondering where exactly the team was going to go with this pick but it's hard to be too mad here. Williams will be an immediate game-changer and should open things up for this defense.

The even scarier part is that it didn't even feel as though we got to see everything that Williams could do at Georgia due to the injury. If that's the case, 49ers fans should buckle up and get ready for the nastiness that he's going to bring to Robert Saleh's defense. This should be a lot of fun and it feels like the San Francisco 49ers got an absolute steal with the 11th pick in the draft.
