When and where is Super Bowl 57 being played this year?
By Peter Panacy
The 49ers may not be in Super Bowl 57 this season, but fans are still likely to tune into the game between the Eagles and Chiefs.
The San Francisco 49ers probably want a do-over of the NFC Championship game after falling to the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 31-7.
Or, at the very least, a do-over with a new slate of officials who won’t throw a yellow flag at every little thing the Niners do on the field.
Alas, head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad isn’t going to be in the big game this year, and it would have been impossible to make it so after San Francisco watched rookie quarterback Brock Purdy suffer a serious elbow injury on the team’s first possession of the game.
Instead, the conference’s top seed will advance to Super Bowl 57.
Who is playing in Super Bowl 57?
The Eagles will represent the NFC in Super Bowl 57, while the Kansas City Chiefs will represent the AFC after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals by a score of 23-20 in the other conference title game.
KC has been in the Super Bowl for three of the last four seasons. Philly’s last big-game appearance was in Super Bowl 52.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid used to coach the Eagles from 1999 through 2012.
Additionally, brothers Travis Kelce (Chiefs) and Jason Kelce (Eagles) will square off against each other, marking the first time in NFL history that brothers have met in a championship game.
When is Super Bowl 57?
The game will be played on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Where is Super Bowl 57?
The game will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
State Farm Stadium is home to the Arizona Cardinals, who finished the regular season with a 4-13 record, last place within the NFC West.
It’s hard to say which team Niners fans will be pulling for between Philadelphia and Kansas City.
But those fans will probably tune in regardless and hope San Francisco is back in the mix once again next season.
