Studs, duds from 49ers Wild Card win vs. Seattle
Stud: quarterback Brock Purdy
What can be said about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy that hasn’t already been said?
Let’s just say he’s fun to watch and leave it at that.
The only thing more amazing that his ever-growing ability is his comfortability under center. Every time he lines up under center, he looks like he’s been an NFL quarterback for a decade. He continues to set goals and absolutely obliterates them.
In his first ever playoff performance against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks, Brock Purdy threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns while adding another score on the ground. Even more impressive, his team scored 41 total points and completely controlled the second half of play.
He put the Seattle defense on skates by finding seven different receivers and orchestrated big plays for huge gains.
However, the best thing he did thus far was lead his team with confidence. He had a coolness about him that translated into an All-Pro performance. Brock Purdy is the real deal, and no one can say otherwise.
