The Seahawks host the 49ers on Thursday Night Football, and Niner Noise covers some provocative Week 15 prop bets for this NFC West showdown.

There’s an excellent possibility the San Francisco 49ers clinch the NFC West with a victory over their division-rival Seattle Seahawks in Week 15 on Thursday Night Football.

Of course, the Niners are the traveling team, and road squads are always at a disadvantage when it comes to such a short week. However, San Francisco is on a notable hot streak having won six games in a row.

The Hawks, meanwhile, have lost three of four and seem to be fading fast from the playoff picture.

The oddsmakers over at DraftKings have the 49ers as a 3.5-point road favorite, yet there are plenty of reasons to expect the Niners not only to cover the spread but to also win big, one of them being the reality that Seattle can’t defend against the run.

And San Francisco loves to run the ball, leading to our first prop bet to keep an eye on for Thursday night.

49ers vs. Seahawks prop bet No. 1: Christian McCaffrey rush yards (over/under 79.5)

All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey is coming off a Week 14 performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in which he rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries, and the Bucs have a notably better defense than that of the Seahawks.

Specifically against the run, the Hawks have given up an average of a whopping 209.5 rush yards per contest over their last four games, and the lowly Carolina Panthers managed 223 rushing yards last Sunday in Seattle’s Week 14 defeat.

Imagine what McCaffrey can do.

The over/under for McCaffrey’s rush totals on Thursday is 79.5, and one might think betting the over at -115 is the smart play.

49ers vs. Seahawks prop bet No. 2: Brandon Aiyuk, D.K. Metcalf combined TDs (over/under 0.5)

The 49ers are going to be without All-Pro wide receiver Deebo Samuel (knee, ankle) for Thursday night, meaning fellow wideout Brandon Aiyuk is going to continue getting a lion’s share of targets from quarterback Brock Purdy.

Interestingly enough, it’s Aiyuk who leads the Niners offense in receptions (58), receiving yards (755) and receiving touchdowns (seven) and not Samuel, the latter being the de facto No. 1 receiver on the roster.

In tandem with Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, the oddsmaking favorite for a combined head-to-head in touchdowns between the two is 0.5, and it should be easy to bet the over at -130.

49ers vs. Seahawks: Niners total team points (over/under 23.5)

Earlier this season, it might have been smart to bet the under when looking at San Francisco’s point totals for any given game. After all, prior to the McCaffrey trade, head coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense was still struggling and was averaging just over 20 points per contest.

Over their last four games, however, the 49ers have averaged 29.8 points, including dropping 33 and 35 in the last two respective contests.

On the flip side, the Hawks enter Week 15 with the NFL’s third-worst scoring defense.

Yes, it’s a short week. However, that typically hinders the defense, and Seattle’s defense isn’t equipped enough to withstand the talent Shanahan has at his disposal.

Look for the Niners to go over their game point threshold of 23.5 at -110.

San Francisco and Seattle square off on Thursday Night Football on Dec. 15 at 8:15 p.m. ET from Lumen Field.
