49ers game today: Niners vs. Saints injury report, spread, over/under, schedule, live stream, TV channel
By Peter Panacy
The 49ers host the Saints today in Week 12, and Niner Noise breaks down the injury news, betting odds and how you can watch the game live.
There have been some pretty notable stats coming from the San Francisco 49ers’ recent three-game win streak.
For starters, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo hasn’t thrown an interception over those three wins, and he also tied a career-best mark by throwing four touchdowns in the Niners’ Week 12 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Additionally, San Francisco’s defense has shut out its last three opponents in the second half of games during that win streak, too, suggesting its next opponent, the 4-7 New Orleans Saints, will need to do all of their scoring before halftime to have a chance of ending the 49ers’ win streak.
That’s going to be easier said than done, though, as NOLA has been a middle-of-the-pack team, at best, in nearly every major statistical category on both sides of the ball. If there is a weakness, however, it’s defending against the run where the Saints are allowing an average of 4.6 yards per carry.
A number that plays right into the Niners’ primary offensive focal point.
Additionally, San Francisco is awfully healthy, whereas New Orleans is still dealing with notable injuries.
49ers injury report vs. Saints Week 12
The 49ers dealt with a small scare when wide receiver Deebo Samuel appeared on the Week 12 injury report with a hamstring injury, resulting in him being limited during practice.
The same designation hit EDGE Samson Ebukam, too, as Ebukam missed the last two games with Achilles and quad injuries.
Defensive tackle Arik Armstead (foot, ankle) continues to be out and will miss Week 12.
The Saints, meanwhile, are dealing with a number of players who were limited in practice this week, too, including:
- DE Marcus Davenport (calf)
- RB Mark Ingram (knee)
- DE Cameron Jordan (eye)
- WR Jarvis Landry (ankle)
- CB Marshon Lattimore (abdomen)
- G Andrus Peat (triceps)
It seems as if the Niners have the edge here on the injury front.
49ers vs. Saints odds, spread, over/under & betting pick Week 12
San Francisco has stayed a nine-point home favorite since the spread first opened, according to the oddsmakers at WynnBET. It’s likely those oddsmakers are taking into account the 49ers getting healthier and the vast array of offensive playmakers supporting Garoppolo, particularly Samuel, tight end George Kittle, running back Christian McCaffrey and even fellow wideout Brandon Aiyuk.
The Niners’ moneyline is -425, and the Saints’ is +325. The over/under for the game is 43.0.
No reason to shake our original prediction, which has San Francisco both winning outright and covering the spread, 28-17.
Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
