Christian McCaffrey has only played in two games for the San Francisco 49ers thus far. Let’s learn more about him with three fun facts.

The newest running back of the San Francisco 49ers, Christian McCaffrey, joined the team on Oct. 20, resulting from a trade with the Carolina Panthers. The Niners gave up heavy draft capital to acquire McCaffrey in a package that included 2023 second-, third- and fourth-round draft picks and a 2024 fifth-round pick.

The 49ers desperately needed a spark for their offense, which at times had looked stale and stagnant, and McCaffrey’s addition gave the offense some added dimensions with schemes and packages.

McCaffrey had a decent game in his Week 7 debut with San Francisco. After only having two full days with head coach Kyle Shanahan’s playbook, the 2019 first-team All-Pro made his first showing against the Kansas City Chiefs.

McCaffrey played sparingly, in only 29 percent of the team’s offensive snaps. However, he gained 62 scrimmage yards from that outing. It was pretty evident that, with some time with the 49ers’ playbook, he would be a force to be reckoned with on offense.

In McCaffrey’s second outing with the Niners against their division-rival Los Angeles Rams, he joined a very exclusive club with what he was able to do, offensively.

Before joining San Francisco, McCaffrey had already established himself as an offensive “Swiss Army Knife,” if you will. His ability to run as well as any top running back in the league and his exceptional receiving abilities make him a nightmare for opposing defenses to plan for.

Let’s take a look at three fun facts about McCaffrey’s accolades and personal life, that folks may or may not know about.
