Chiefs -2. 4:25 p.m. ET. 124. 3-3. 42. 4-2. Fox. Sunday, Oct. 23

The 49ers play hosts to the Chiefs in Week 7, and we’ve got your latest betting information, injuries and how you can watch live.

There are going to be plenty of moments during Sunday’s Week 7 contest between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs where the television broadcast rewinds back to those waning moments of Super Bowl LIV and how head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad either squandered a 20-10 second-half lead or how Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes engineered a comeback to spark KC’s memorable Super Bowl victory.

But the truth of the matter is both teams are vastly different now.

Especially the Niners after engineering a blockbuster trade for All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey, who figures to be involved in Shanahan’s offense in one form or another despite only recently being added to the fray this week.

San Francisco’s offense is averaging just a shade over 20 points per game this season, whereas Kansas City currently owns the No. 1-ranked scoring offense.

Perhaps McCaffrey makes a notable difference, or as was the case for two-plus quarters in Super Bowl LIV, the 49ers defense shuts down Mahomes and Co.

Here’s what fans will want to know about Sunday’s contest.

49ers injury report vs. Chiefs Week 7

After missing a swarm of starters on both sides of the ball in Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons, the Niners are actually getting quite healthy for this tilt against KC.

In fact, only three players appear on the Week 7 injury report:

  • DL Arik Armstead (foot): OUT
  • S Talanoa Hufanga (concussion): Questionable
  • CB Charvarius Ward (groin): Questionable

EDGE Nick Bosa (groin), left tackle Trent Williams (ankle), safety Jimmie Ward (hand) and right tackle Mike McGlinchey (calf) were all cleared to play in the game, and San Francisco will need each one of those players if it hopes to keep pace with a high-powered Chiefs offense.

49ers vs. Chiefs odds, spread, over/under & betting pick Week 7

Initially, according to the oddsmakers over at WynnBET, Kansas City opened up as a three-point road favorite for this contest, yet that line has shifted a bit in the Niners’ favor.

Currently, San Francisco is now a two-point home underdog. A small but noticeable difference, perhaps influenced by the McCaffrey pickup.

The Niners’ moneyline is +105, while KC’s is -125.

The over/under for the game is 49.0.

San Francisco is certainly improved by McCaffrey’s presence, and the injury reinforcements will help matters a lot.

However, the betting pick for the week still suggests the Chiefs emerge with a victory, although it’ll likely be much closer with the 49ers actually covering the spread, 28-27 in favor of the road team.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
