49ers finally get to enjoy good NFL weather in Week 3 vs. Broncos
By Peter Panacy
After playing two games in rainy conditions, the 49ers should enjoy partaking in clear NFL weather conditions for Week 3 against the Broncos.
It’s rare for any team to face awfully rainy NFL weather conditions over the first two weeks of any given season.
Yet that’s what the San Francisco 49ers have had to deal with in Weeks 1 and 2.
The NFL weather at Soldier Field certainly helped influence the Niners’ Week 1 loss to the Chicago Bears, as both teams were subjected to a relative monsoon that only Chicago seemed to overcome adequately enough.
And while the awfully rare-for-California-in-September rainfall at Levi’s Stadium against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2 was nowhere near as bad, it was surely a factor.
Simply put, head coach Kyle Shanahan and Co. have to be eagerly awaiting more ideal conditions.
Those appear to be on the horizon for San Francisco’s prime-time Week 3 matchup against the 1-1 Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football.
NFL weather forecast for 49ers vs. Broncos should be ideal
There might be a saying in the greater Denver area that “if you don’t like the weather, just wait an hour.”
However, that doesn’t appear to be the case for Week 3’s context.
The latest NFL weather forecast for Sunday night’s game looks to be fairly pristine at Empower Field at Mile High, perhaps even on the slightly warm side at kickoff.

Kickoff temperature is forecasted to be 77 degrees with 31 percent humidity. The forecast also calls for clear skies with zero probability of rain.
Winds will be easterly at five miles per hour, so there shouldn’t be much of a factor there.
With the 49ers looking to secure their second win of the season, squaring off against quarterback Russell Wilson and Co. will at least be made a bit easier without having to worry about inclement weather being a negative factor.
Both teams kick off on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8:20 p.m. ET from Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
