3 Best Prop Bets for 49ers vs Seahawks in Week 2
By Tommy Jaggi
The San Francisco 49ers look to avoid falling to 0-2 against the Seattle Seahawks this week. Here are the three biggest prop bets for Week 2.
It’s hard to read too much into the San Francisco 49ers Week 1 contest, as it took place in a monsoon in Chicago. Still, there are some things we learned from the season-opener. After dropping their first game of the season, Kyle Shanahan looks to get his team back on track against a divisional opponent in Week 2.
The Seattle Seahawks may have pulled off the upset win in their opener against the Denver Broncos, but we expect them to come back down to earth this week. If you want to incentivize this game a bit more, here are the three best prop bets you could make for the 49ers vs Seahawks divisional game in Week 2:
Deebo Samuel OVER 31.5 Rushing Yards Prop Bet (-115)
This one seems incredibly attainable. In Week 1, Deebo Samuel rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown on 8 attempts. Now there’s even more reason to believe he will be involved in the backfield with RB Elijah Mitchell on IR with an MCL sprain. For a dynamic weapon that eats up space on the ground in a hurry, Samuel shouldn’t need more than a handful of touches to accomplish this feat. Even at just -115 odds, via DraftKings Sportsbook, this is worth taking.
Trey Lance OVER 16.5 Completions Prop Bet (+105)
In the torrential downpour last week, Trey Lance completed 13 of 28 passes. While the forecast is calling for rain once again, we have to assume that Lance isn’t going to struggle as badly in his second contest of the season — this time on his own turf. Lance should be able to connect with his top target, Deebo Samuel, on more than just 2 of 7 attempts this week. Take the over on the 16.5 completions this week.
Jeff Wilson Anytime TD Scorer Prop Bet (+130)
Anytime touchdown scorers are always a bit riskier, but it comes with a better payout than other prop bets. With Elijah Mitchell sidelined, we expect Jeff Wilson Jr. to be the primary ball-carrier in the backfield with Deebo Samuel chipping in as well. Wilson is going to be looking for more success on the ground this week, and the 49ers could try to pound the rock when they are close to the goal line. With added opportunities, Wilson could punch in a score against the Seahawks on Sunday.
