What are 49ers betting odds to win NFC West in 2022?
By Peter Panacy
The 49ers aren’t the betting favorites to win the NFC West in 2022, but they’re right there close to the top, according to the oddsmakers.
You probably won’t be too surprised to hear this, but the Super Bowl-champion Los Angeles Rams are currently the favorites to win the NFC West this upcoming season.
Shocker, right?
According to the oddsmakers over at WynnBET, LA currently sits with the best odds to win the division in 2022 at +135, which would be indicative of a team that went 12-5 last season and managed to get past both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional and NFC Championship playoff games, respectively, before upending the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.
It’s not all bad betting news for the Niners, though.
49ers have second-best betting odds to win NFC West in 2022
The same WynnBET oddsmakers aren’t looking at San Francisco as a distant hopeful in terms of the NFC West race.
While Los Angeles has the best betting odds, the 49ers come in at +160.

Perhaps this takes into account the historical dominance Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan has had over his Southern California rival, Rams head coach Sean McVay, what happened in the NFC Championship game notwithstanding.
After these two teams, the gap for division-winning odds gets pretty wide.
Betting odds for who wins NFC West
As noted, both LA and San Francisco sit close to the top in terms of division-champion favorites:
- Los Angeles Rams: +135
- San Francisco 49ers: +160
- Arizona Cardinals: +400
- Seattle Seahawks: +1200
While the gap isn’t massive between the 49ers and Arizona Cardinals, it’s substantial enough to mention, and two consecutive years where head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s squad has suffered a late-season collapse is probably enough to make the oddsmakers a bit bearish on the Red Birds’ chances.
Likewise, amid what’ll be a massive rebuild in the wake of trading away quarterback Russell Wilson this offseason, the Seattle Seahawks are quite the longshot, perhaps hoping for little more than a better-than .500 season in the win-loss department with either one of their two likely starting signal-callers, Drew Lock and Geno Smith, at the helm.
In case you were wondering, because you were, the Niners are +1200 to win the Super Bowl this season, while Los Angeles is +1000.
