49ers Stud: Tight End George Kittle
Yes, San Francisco might have lost the game. But tight end George Kittle surely won the bulk of his matchups.
Without wide receiver Deebo Samuel in the mix, the 49ers needed to have someone else step up in the receiving game, and Jimmy Garoppolo needed to have a go-to target, especially with the run game not being quite as big a factor against a stout Seahawks run defense.
Kittle was a monster during the game, and his 48-yard catch-and-run touchdown along the sideline was a thing of beauty:
That was one of two scores for Kittle, his first coming back in the first quarter as the Niners were looking to answer the Hawks’ opening score off the fake punt.

In total, Kittle finished with a whopping 181 yards and the two touchdowns on nine receptions, reasserting himself as one of the NFL’s most lethal weapons and despite the fact he had just one other 100-yard game this season.
If Kittle wasn’t a factor in Week 13, San Francisco’s loss would have been much, much worse.
