49ers: 5 players who are facing their last chance in training camp

No. 1: 49ers Quarterback Josh Rosen
Yes, another perceived NFL Draft bust.
Quarterback Josh Rosen has a pretty wide landing spot heading into training camp. On one hand, assuming he beats out fellow backup signal-caller Nate Sudfeld in camp and the preseason, San Francisco could push him all the way to the No. 2 quarterback behind the rookie, Trey Lance, if the latter wins the starting job and convinces the 49ers to move the presumed starter, Jimmy Garoppolo, in advance of Week 1.

That would be an aggressive opinion. But possible.
The more likely situation would be Rosen simply beating out Sudfeld for the No. 3 spot on the depth chart, while Garoppolo and Lance remain Nos. 1 and 2 (in whichever order you think) on the roster.
From Rosen’s perspective, he better land this job at the very least.
After flaming out with the Cardinals after being selected at No. 10 overall, then failing to make much of a dent with the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in subsequent years, 2021 could prove to be the year that decides whether or not the 24-year-old signal-caller will be able to carve out a productive NFL career or if he’ll be relegated to the list of biggest draft busts of all time.
