NFL Draft Pick No. 25: Christian Barmore, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

Roy Robertson-Harris was a nice little under-the-radar signing who could be a nice addition to the defensive line of the Jaguars, but he can’t be trusted with his injury history and they could use another addition there anyway.

Alabama defensive tackle Christian Barmore is very raw, but he may be the best interior pass-rusher in the entire NFL Draft.

To get him at No. 25 would be a big coup for Jacksonville.

Barmore recorded 37 tackles, eight sacks, three forced fumbles and three passes defended in 2020, showing a nose for getting to the quarterback and applying pressure. He can make plays on the ball regularly as well.

Barmore does need development as his pass defense isn’t too great and he’s more of a pass-rusher only right now. If he can develop his game to be more rounded, he looks like he could be a steal here.
