2021 NFL Draft: Vikings select defensive tackle Christian Barmore, Alabama

The Minnesota Vikings would have preferred it if Christian Darrisaw fell to them at No. 14, but it’s not the end of the proverbial football world if they have to wait until Rounds 2 or 3 to find more offensive line reinforcements. Remember, it’s a deep class here.

The defensive line is also a pretty big need for head coach Mike Zimmer’s squad this offseason, and it’s pretty evident some interior help would do a world of good.

And as far as value goes, it would be a steal if the Vikings could get their hands on Alabama defensive tackle Christian Barmore at No. 14.

Barmore is easily the best defensive lineman in this year’s class and could easily be a top-10 pick. He would be if it weren’t for the top quarterbacks this year, and Minnesota sorely needs someone on the inside who can generate a quality pass rush while serving as an excellent run defender.
