Dud: SF 49ers CB Emmanuel Moseley

I really do like cornerback Emmanuel Moseley, an undrafted free agent head coach Kyle Shanahan managed to dig up for cheap and put on the field to good effect.

But, man, D.K. Metcalf completely destroyed him in the game.

It’s a hard assignment to have. Metcalf is an absolutely freakish combination of size and speed who would be difficult to block back in the days when the defense was actually encouraged instead of penalized.

So what hope did Moseley have? Very little, as it turned out.

Metcalf ran riot, as Wilson torched Moseley mercilessly. Moseley was often only a step or two behind as defenders sometimes are, but it was all that Wilson needs to keep finding Metcalf.

Metcalf ended up being the difference-maker as far as the two teams were concerned, and that was mostly on Moseley.

Hopefully, Moseley will rebound, but this is not a game he will want to watch back on film.
